UN officials to question former Macedonian minister
ZAGREB, Oct 15: United Nations war crimes investigators are seeking to question a former Macedonian minister detained in Croatia on suspicion of masterminding the killing of seven Pakistani immigrants two years ago
, the ex-minister's lawyer said on Friday.
"The Hague court investigators have announced their arrival on Nov 7 but the defence has not decided whether (Ljube) Boskovski will accept to be interviewed," lawyer Zvonimir Hodak told the HINA news agency.
The investigators from the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague would probably question Mr Boskovski over his role as interior minister, Mr Hodak said, without elaborating.
Mr Boskovski was in charge of the ministry during the seven-month conflict in Macedonia in 2001 between ethnic Albanian rebels and government forces. -AFP
