Bank holiday
KARACHI, Oct 14: The State Bank of Pakistan and all offices of SBP's Banking Service Corporation, including the Public Debit Offices, will remain closed for public dealing on the first of Ramazan.
An announcement made here on Thursday said the day had been declared as bank holiday for the work of Zakat deduction. All banks and development finance institutions would also remain closed, it added.
However, all employees of the State Bank, the SBPBSC, banks and development finance institutions would attend their offices as usual, the announcement said. -APP
