LAKKI MARWAT, Oct 14: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco), during an anti-theft operation, disconnected power supply to three villages for pilferage and illegal connections.

Pesco officials said scores of illegal connections had been detected in the villages, Soor Bund, Wanda Kutana and Wanda Rehmana Pesco executive engineer Ihsanullah told this reporter that the operation would be extended to other villages where large amounts of money were outstanding.

He said that in the three villages, majority of the people had illegal connections while many others had defaulted on bills. The engineer said the power supply would be restored only when the people applied for legal connections and immediately paid their outstanding dues.
