Aussies keep faith in Dancer
SYDNEY, Oct 11: Barry Dancer, who guided the Australian team to its long-awaited first Olympic men's hockey gold medal in Athens, was on Monday re-appointed head coach through to the 2008 Beijing Games.
Dancer said he was bullish about Australia's chances of repeating their gold medal triumph in Beijing.
"Clearly, I think that the majority of players have their best hockey ahead of them in the next four years and the future is very encouraging," Dancer said on Monday. "We have a chance and the challenge to be not just a championship team, but a dynasty team." -PPI
