ISLAMABAD: Balochistan's share in federal jobs discussed


ISLAMABAD, Oct 11: A meeting of the cabinet committee on representation of Balochistan in federal services was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind here on Monday to review the province's quota.

The minister reiterated the government's resolve to eliminate unemployment and alleviate poverty. He said that the government was making efforts for the prosperity and welfare of the people living in remote areas of the country, especially in Balochistan.

The minister directed Secretary Establishment Division Syed Tariq Ali Bukhari to submit the proposals so that government could redress the problems of the people of Balochistan and carry out development schemes in the province.

The minister also directed the establishment secretary to provide data about Balochistan's recruitment quota in federal government departments, corporations and autonomous bodies. He further called for providing 10-year data on FPSC recruitment's along with the province's actual share in federal jobs. -APP
