KARACHI, Oct 10: The lanky lad from India Jitin Bishnoi picked up a double crown in the Subh-e-Nau ITF world ranking juniors tennis championship when he tamed the fighting spirit of 15-year-old Yasir Khan 6-3, 6-1 , in the boys' singles played on Sunday on the hard court of Karachi Gymkhana.

With a large gathering watching the final match of the tournament the two youngsters were locked at 2-2. Jitin however broke Yasir to forge ahead 3-2. The Pakistani youngster had a marvellous chance to break Jitin's service leading 40-0. But two unforced errors cost him the game, with Jitin fighting back tooth and nail to progress further 4-2.

Disappointed by this setback, Yasir was on deuce twice, but two forceful cross court drives enabled the No. 2 seed to progress further 5-1, a game away from winning the first set.

Yasir gave the partisan crowd something to cheer about leading 30-0 with service in hand, only to see his opponent storm back taking the next four games and the set 6-3.

In the next set Jitin broke Yasir once again to take over the lead 2-1 and using his powerful service for good measure was racing away 3-1. Breaking Yasir once again the No. 2 seed moved along smoothly 4-1 and going for the kill increased his advantage to 5-1.

Although Yasir had service in hand, the game was soon over bar the shouting. Jitin with two crisp parting backhand shots, one on the left hand side of the court and the next on the right, emerged a proud winner 6-3, 6-1.
