JCSC chief, VCOAS meet Musharraf

RAWALPINDI, Oct 8: The Chairman, Joint Chiefs of the Staff Committee, Gen Ehsanul Haq, called on President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Friday after assuming charge of his office.

The president congratulated Gen Haq on his promotion and wished him all the success in his new responsibilities. The Chairman Joint Chiefs of the Staff Committee said he would do his utmost to live up to the trust reposed in him.

Later, Vice Chief of the Army Staff Gen Ahsan Saleem Hayat called on President Musharraf after assuming charge of his office. Extending congratulations to Gen Hayat, the president expressed the hope that under his leadership the operational capability of Pakistan Army would be enhanced.

The Vice Chief of the Army Staff expressed his resolve to work for the betterment of Pakistan Army. -APP
