'We will turn it round,' says Smith

JOHANNESBURG, Oct 6: It's going to be an uphill struggle, but South African captain Grame Smith is confident his team will change their fortunes in coming season.

After terrible disappointments of Sri Lanka and ICC Champions Trophy in England, South Africa face super-tough assignments in India and at home to England in first half of new season.

Smith said he was sure his team mates will show a return to form, starting in new-look Super Sport Series that kicks-off on Thursday. "We know we have not performed to our potential, but I'm looking forward to guys in national team showing some great form in domestic arena.

'Some people think we're going to struggle this season, but I'm not one of them," Smith said. "Hopefully everyone will get behind us and I'm sure we'll turn things round." -PPI
