KARACHI: Handicapped children entertained

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Oct 4: Over 100 handicapped children had fun for over a couple of hours at a leading city hotel on Monday afternoon. The function was organized by artist Jimmy Engineer under his fun and food programme under which he takes handicapped children out to various five-star hotels so that the children can enjoy.

He said that handicapped people in the developed countries of the West were provided with many facilities by their governments but here they were not even being given their due rights.

He urged the philanthropists to come forward and do whatever they can for the handicapped people so that their quality of life could be improved. Students from the Ida Rieu gave an impressive demonstration of karate and held their special colleagues spellbound.

Children from Ida-Rieu School and College for Deaf and Blind, Darul Sukoon, Darul Khushnood, Aaghosh, Madawa, and Aasra participated in the function. A magician Nasir Chaudhry entertained the special children with his tricks for over half an hour. Danielle and Jean-Yves Barrae also spoke.
