KHAIRPUR: Tribal feud claims another life

KHAIRPUR, Oct 3: A man was killed and another injured in the ongoing feud between Solangi and Jagirani groups in Kingri taluka on Sunday. About 20 armed men attacked the Bagh wah area and opened fire, killing Sadoro Solangi , 40, and injuring Wahab Solangi.

No case was registered in this connection till the filing of this report. With the killing of Sadoro, the death toll reached 17 in the feud. DPO Imran Yaqoob Minhas visited the area and said he was hopeful for talks between the two warring groups to resolve the feud.

There are reports that the Solangi side has agreed to resolve the dispute through reconciliation. The Jagirani chieftain, Sardar Sundar Khan Sundrani, and the Solangi chieftain, Shabbir Khan Machhi, will meet Pir Sahib Pagaro on October 5 in Pir-jo-Goth to fix a date for final talks.
