Published October 4, 2004

KARACHI, Oct 3: The Jafferia Alliance has demanded immediate arrest and hanging of those involved in the Zainabia Mosque attack in Sialkot. It also demanded that the families of the deceased be compensated and given Rs 1 million each.

Half-a-million rupees each be given to the injured for their medical treatment, they said. These demands were made by speakers at a mourning rally, taken out by the Jafferia Alliance from Shah-i-Khurasan to Karachi Press Club, on Sunday.

They also pledged not to allow the US agents to succeed in their designs to shatter the unity of Ummah. The participants were raising anti-US, and Shia-Sunni unity slogans. They also torched the US flag.

Addressing the participants, Allama Aftab Haider Jafri, Maulana Aun Mohammad Naqvi, Allama Nisar, Maulana Furqan Haider Abdi and others observed that frequent incidents were taking place because the government did not arrest the culprits and their patrons in the past, they were indulging in such acts.
