Nasa puts off space flights till May
WASHINGTON, Oct 2: The US space agency Nasa has put off resumption of space shuttle flights from March until at least May, the agency said on Friday.
In a statement, the agency said the postponement was forced by the effects of four hurricanes this year on its flight centres.
Hurricanes Charley, Frances, and Jeanne closed down Nasa's Kennedy Space Center for nine days and damaged facilities, and Hurricane Ivan caused shorter closures at other facilities, said a Nasa official.-AFP
