McGrath, Langer shine
MUMBAI, Oct 2: Glenn McGrath scalped four wickets and Justin Langer hit a century here on Saturday to lead Australia's preparations for next week's Test series against India.
McGrath conceded only 25 runs in 21.2 overs of lively seam bowling to restrict Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai to 255 on the final day.
Australia, who scored 302-7 in their first innings, hit up 207-1 in their second knock before draw was called in the only first-class game for the tourists ahead of the first Test in Bangalore from Wednesday.
Left-handed Langer, who made 108 before retiring, shared a first-wicket stand of 142 with Michael Clarke, who contributed a strokeful 52.
McGrath returned to form after missing the home series against India earlier this year due to injury.
Mumbai, who started the final day at 150-4, slipped to 176-7 before a rearguard action saw the home team add 79 runs for the last three wickets.
Langer hit 12 boundaries and two sixes while Clarke struck eight fours in Australia's second innings.
