Coastal areas' people warned of cyclone

By Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, Oct 1: The Badin district administration has advised people in the coastal areas to shift to safer places as there is a possibility of a cyclone on Saturday.

In a handout issued on Friday, Badin District Coordination Officer Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah advised fishermen not to go into the deep sea and berth their boats at safe places.

The DCO said relief camps were being set up on emergency basis. He had ordered all the departments, except the revenue department, to remain on high alert, the handout said.
