KARACHI, Oct 1: The University of Karachi announced the results of LLB (Final) Annual Examination 2004, with a pass percentage of 77.93.

All the top three positions in the merit list were clinched by the students of S.M. Government Law College. Only six of the candidates could secure first division.

According a notification of the university, out of 938 students who took the exams 726 were declared pass in the final year examinations. Mehreen, seat no 26038, secured first position with 1213 out of 2000 marks.

Muhammad Omair Nisar Khan, seat no 25136, and Muhammad Umer Lakhani, seat no 25103, bagged second and third positions respectively. The notification stated that there were 65 candidates who passed the final year exams, but failed to clear some papers of BL Part-I or Part-II or both part exams.

WORKSHOP: The International Relations Department of Karachi University will organize a two-day workshop on "Teaching and research methods in conflict resolution" under the programme on "peace studies and conflict resolution".

The HEC- sponsored workshop will be held on Oct 9 at the arts auditorium while on Oct 10 at the International Relations Department, said a senior teacher of the department.
