Asian hockey future bright: Sharma
By Bureau Report
PESHAWAR, Sept 30: India hockey manager Satish Kumar Sharma on Thursday said the future of Asian hockey was bright and stressed to encourage indigenous style of the game to regain lost glory.
Speaking at a reception hosted in honour of Pakistani and Indian hockey teams by City District Government Peshawar, he said the ongoing hockey series would contribute a lot to the game.
However, he said the experts and decision makers of both the countries should analyse the causes of the failure and chalk-out future strategies for the betterment of the sport.
NWFP Governor Lt-Gen Syed Iftikhar Hussain said sports had proved helpful in bridging the gaps between people and had also strengthened the relationships.
