Bus service to Kandahar soon


QUETTA, Sept 28: Pakistan and Afghanistan have decided to introduce bus service between Quetta and Kandahar to facilitate travelling between the two countries.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at Kandahar on Tuesday between Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani and Kandahar Governor Engineer Mohammed Yousuf Pashtoon.

The meeting also decided to start construction of Railway line between Chaman and Kandahar for which survey has already been conducted. The 100 km railway track would be completed at an estimated cost of US$ 110 million, for which Pakistan Railways has offered its cooperation.

Both sides also agreed to enhance cooperation in trade. -APP
