SARGODHA: Woman, daughter raped

SARGODHA, Sept 27: A woman and her daughter were allegedly gang-raped by four armed men, who also snatched Rs10,000 from the head of their family near Mitha Luk, about 21 kilometres from here.

According to reports reaching here, Shaukat Ali was going back to his village Moazzamabad by a motorbike along with his wife and step daughter when the two-wheeler broke down.

Meanwhile, four armed men, three of who were identified as Khalid, Liaquat and Bashir, came there and snatched Rs10,000 in cash from Shaukat. They also took his wife and daughter to fields where they gang-raped them.

It may be mentioned here that it is the third incident of gang rape in the district reported to police within the past three days. Saddar police have registered a case under sections 392 PPC and 10 Hudood Ordinance and are investigating.
