HANGU: Hangu JUI dissociates from govt

By Our Correspondent

HANGU, Sept 25: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F), Hangu chapter, has announced that it has decided to disassociate with the provincial government and the party leadership.

The decision was taken at a meeting held here on Friday evening which was attended by MNA Akhunzada Mohammad Sadiq, Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) district chief Mufti Din Azhar and other office-bearers of the the MMA.

The meeting criticized the indifferent attitude of the party central leadership and the provincial government. They lamented that the NWFP government was constantly ignoring representatives from Hangu district and all the major decisions were taken by a group in Peshawar.

The participants pointed out that the party central leadership including Maulana Fazlur Rehman was apprised about the grievances, but in vain.

The meeting unanimously decided that the office-bearers of the JUI-F Hangu chapter would neither attend any meeting of the central council of the party nor cooperate with the central leaders and the MMA government.
