Tax exemption from 2005

ISLAMABAD, Sept 23: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has clarified that the income tax exemption up to Rs100,000 will be effective from July 1, 2005.

An official statement issued here on Thursday said that for the tax year 2004, the exemption limit would remain at Rs80,000.

The government had raised in the budget the income tax exemption limit from Rs80,000 to Rs100,000 which would be effective from next year, the statement added.
