FAISALABAD: Building dynamited: Passer by killed

By Our Staff Correspondent

FAISALABAD, Sept 19: An unidentified passer by was killed by the debris of a building destroyed through a dynamite at the GTS Intersection here on Sunday. Reports said the contractor's men had demolished the building for the construction of an overhead bridge.

Some bricks and iron rods hit a passer by due to which he sustained serious head and chest injuries and died instantly. The police have sent the body to hospital for autopsy. The contractor and the buildings department officials, who were supposed to be present on the occasion, were absent.

ELECTROCUTED: Two industrial workers were electrocuted in Raja Ghulam Rasoolnagar in the limits of Batala Colony police station here on Saturday night. Asmat Ali and Shahbaz Ahmed along with other labourers were at work in the factory when they incidentally touched a live wire. Both of them fell on the ground and died on the spot.
