Ramazan relief package okayed

ISLAMABAD, Sept 18: Minister for Industries and Production Jehangir Khan Tareen has approved 'Ramazan relief package' to stabilize prices of different commodities and provide relief to the masses during the holy month.

According to a press release, the package was presented to the minister by the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) in a meeting held here on Saturday.

Mr Tareen has also directed the ministry to submit a summary to the cabinet's Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) for the formal approval of the package. The minister asked the USC to devise a plan for enhancing sale and ensure quality products for the consumers.

He also directed the corporation to submit a financial plan in order to improve the business and provide relief to the people.
