Rashid finishes in 32nd place


KARACHI, Sept 16: Pakistan's Rashid-ul-Ghazi finished 32nd out of over hundred participants in the World Individual Bridge Championship which concluded at Veron (Italy) , according to information received by Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) on Thursday.

Local star Noberto Bochchi finished as the champion while Andrew Robson of United Kingdom came second. Another ex-Pakistani Zia Mahmood ended up in 10th place and British champion Jason Hacket secured 52nd spot.

India sent Subhash Gupta, a member of their national team, finished 37th. Bob Hamman who is regarded as one of the top four in the world occupied 39th berth above another Italian star Claudio Nunnes.

Chritian Marri of France who had the honour of winning the Championship for his country finished on 43rd position, while veteran Italian star De Falco 44th. Justin Hacket of Britain 45 and Eric Kokish of Canada 46. Another leading USA player Fred Gitelman occupied 50th position. -APP
