Stocks fall below 5,000

KARACHI, Sept 15: Stocks on Wednesday fell across-the-board like nine pins as investors indulged in panic-selling following reports that some punters had been issued exposure notices to clear their outstanding positions.

The KSE index shed 90.02 points, suffering an erosion of Rs22 billion from market capital. The index, as a result, broke the barrier of 5,000 on active selling by all and sundry.
