Khurram, Saleh to represent Pakistan

By Our Sports Reporter

KARACHI, Sept 15: Khurram Hussain Agha and Saleh Mohammad will represent Pakistan in the IBSF World snooker tournament which will be played from Nov 20 to Dec 4 at Veldhoven in the Netherlands.

According to the points system introduced by the PBSA a couple of years ago, Khurram who failed to figure in any of the finals of the four ranking tournaments in 2004 still holds the top spot with more points against his name.

Saleh on the other hand won one of the finals of the ranking tournament and he too manages to hold on to the No.2 spot. Khurram has never figured well aboard, failing to reach the last 16 in the Asian championship last year in China.

However, due to the points system he still manages to get his berth in the team as the Pakistan No.1. Khurram also failed poorly in the recently concluded Peace Cup, a series held between the winners India and Pakistan.

Saleh the current world No.2 has however performed well abroad and has entered the quarterfinal stage on more than four occasions and even finished as world No.3 in New Zealand.
