LAHORE: Light rain in Lahore


LAHORE, Sept 15: Light shower in different parts of the city on Wednesday afternoon made the weather pleasant. According to the Met office, a trough of low pressure area lies over the NWFP and Kashmir while Tuesday's westerly wave over the north of Kashmir also persisted.

Weather pundits have forecast a thunderstorm/rain for Rawalpindi division, partly cloudy weather for most parts of the Punjab, including Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Gujranwala divisions, and dry weather for Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan divisions.

The Flood Forecasting Division has forecast light rain with one or two moderate showers over upper catchments of rivers Jhelum, Chenab and Ravi. Reports of rain were also received from other cities, including Oghi 32mm, Domel 26mm, Muzaffarabad and Shinkiari 25mm each, Garhidopatta 20mm, Rawalakot 13mm, Murree 5mm, Kotli 4mm, Malamjaba 2mm and Sialkot 1mm. -APP
