'Pakistan-Libya ties getting stronger'

By A Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Sept 14: Relations between Pakistan and Libya have become stronger over decades and we welcomed the lifting of UN sanctions on Tripoli in 2003 , Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar said while talking to Dawn at a reception hosted by Libyan charge d' affairs Ahmed Turbi to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Great September Revolution of his country at a local hotel on Wednesday.

"We expect our bilateral relations to grow and take firm roots, and trade potentials to grow as well," he said. Asked whether he expected a Libyan ambassador soon in Pakistan, Mr Bakhtiar said it was up to them and he could not be more expansive on this point.
