KASUR: Boy crushed by speedy truck

KASUR, Sept 14: A boy was crushed under the wheels of a speedy truck in Lundianwala village, Khudian, on Tuesday. Police said Tahir Gulzar, 6, was crossing the road when the accident took place. Khudian police have registered a case against the absconding truck driver.

SUICIDE: A man allegedly committed suicide over a domestic dispute in Dingipura near here. Irfan Ahmad married Shazia a few months ago and his in-laws used to quarrel with him. According to police, Irfan locked himself in his room and took poison. He died before getting any medical aid.

KIDNAP: A woman and a schoolgirl were kidnapped in two different incidents. Safia of Jamsher Khurd village, Chunian, told police that her daughter Nazia was on her way home from the school when Zafar Shah and his two accomplices kidnapped her at gunpoint.

Chunian police have registered a case. In the other incident, Tariq and his two accomplices kidnapped Kausar from her house in Kot Bao, Illahabad. Her father Abdul Sattar told police that the kidnappers also took away 10 tolas of gold jewellery and Rs12,500 in cash.
