SIALKOT, Sep 14: The district government has announced display of all government departments' accounts at the offices of the district Nazim, DCO, EDO (finance) and accounts for public.

This was stated by district Nazim Mian Naeem Javaid while talking to newsmen here on Tuesday. Sialkot DCO Syed Tahir Raza Naqvi and finance EDO Rana Azhar Ali were also present on this occasion.

He said the main purpose was to tell the people about the transparent use of expenditure. Mr Javaid said the district government would seek public objections on these accounts lists and later the objections would be discussed with the district accounts committee. The Nazim claimed that all the distrcit government departments were being run transparently and honestly and there was no concept of any corruption.

VISIT: Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool will visit Sialkot on Sept 20. District Nazim Mian Naeem Javaid told newsmen that the governor would inaugurate the Sui gas supply to Koobey Chak and a road, besides addressing a public meeting. Mr Maqbool will also visit Daska on the same day and inspect the performance of Nadra Swift Centre, SNGPL, PTCL, income tax and Wapda.

LAND LEVELLERS: The district government will provide nine land levellers to three tehsils of Sialkot, Daska and Pasrur on Wednesday (today) during a ceremony at Pakki Kotli village.

The district Nazim said the distribution of land levelling machines worth Rs12 million with tractors would be helpful for farmers enabling them to enhance their per acre yield. He said the district government had also purchased a hi-tech seed grading machinery for providing it to growers on nominal token charges.
