KARACHI: Placement list for college admission declared

KARACHI, Sept 13: The City Nazim, Niamatullah Khan, here on Monday released the details of the placement lists for admissions to city colleges in home economics and commuter science groups.

In all, 737 students had applied for home economics group, out of which 600 have been placed for admission to Ra'na Liaquat Ali Khan College. In computer science, as many as 1,300 boys and girls had applied for admission, out of which 513 women and 653 men were given admission to 23 colleges.

The home economics admissions list begins on 723 marks and closes at 441 (51.88 percent). The maximum and minimum marks in the case of computer science are as follows:

MEN: Islamia Science College (from 695 to 544); Degree College Gulshan-i-Iqbal (from 657 to 575); National College (652-552), Jamia Millia Degree College (564-431), Superior Science College (men) (600-523), Degree Science/Commerce College Landhi/Korangi-6 (men) (608-422), Degree Science College, Malir Cantt (663-582), S. M. Government Science College (650-555) St. Pat's (men) (721-609), Degree Science /Commerce College Lyari (547-425), Pak Shipowners Government College (631-513), Degree Science College for Boys North Karachi (614-465), Degree College for Boys Asifabad (567-441) and College for Men Nazimabad (672-587).

WOMEN: Abdullah College (651-573), College for Women Nazimabad (650-607), Sir Syed College (734-629), APWA College (696-569), Degree Science College Malir Cantt (714-606), St Lawrence College (702-606), PECHS College for Women (758-687), Degree College Stadium Road (683-595) and Degree College Gulshan-i-Iqbal (692-596).

According to the EDO, those who are not satisfied with their placement can submit claim forms at CAP centres at the following colleges:

MEN: Govt College for Men Nazimabad, Islamia Science College and Superior Science College.

WOMEN: Government College for Women Nazimabad, Allama Iqbal Girls College and Government College for Women Sharah-i-Liaquat.
