KARACHI: Drivers forced to violate traffic rules

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Sept 11: The Green Bus Company claimed that commuters forced its drivers to violate the designated bus stops and traffic rules.

The spokesman of the bus company clarifying a news item appeared in Dawn on Sept 8, said: "We don't stop our buses other than designated stops, however, often passengers quarrel with drivers and ticketing personnel to lift or drop them from the place they are standing or wanted to be disembarked."

However, it has been observed that the buses being operated by the Swede-Bus Pakistan stick to its rules and stop their buses only at the designated stops. People have come to know that they would not be lifted if they would not stand at the designated stops.

It has also been observed that other buses being operated under the Urban Transport Scheme are also in practice to violate the designated stops and speed limits.
