Kasuri leaves for Dushanbe

ISLAMABAD, Sept 10: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri on Friday left for Dushanbe, Tajikistan, to attend the 14th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

The ECO ministers will meet on Sept 12, ahead of a summit of their leaders scheduled for Sept 14, a foreign office spokesman said. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will lead the Pakistani delegation at the summit.

Mr Kasuri will address the council of ministers on Sept 12. He is expected to underline the need to make the ECO more active and effective. -APP
