MMA vows to continue struggle for constitution

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Sept 8: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal will continue its struggle for the supremacy of the Constitution and the parliament. This was stated by the chief of Jamaat-i-Islami, Sindh chapter, Dr Mumtaz Ali Memon while addressing the female members of the Jamaat-i-Islami at Idara Noor-i-Haq.

Mentioning that women have a very important role in success of any movement, he asked the women wing of Jamaat-i-Islami to play its due role in the present circumstances. Mumtaz Ali said that the government with its vindictive actions against madressahs (religious schools) and ulema (religious scholars) was worsening the situation.

He regretted that ulema and workers of religious parties were being arrested in the name of Al-Qaeda. JI's women wing chief Rabia Alam said that at the behest of US rulers, religious parties were being targeted and attempts were being made to make the life of faithful miserable. However, the ultimate victory would be of righteous people, she added.
