Talks held with Iran

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Sept 5: The Quetta Electricity Supply Company has held talks with the Iranian government for ensuring uninterrupted power supply to Makran, Qesco Chief Executive Officer Brig Tassaduq Hussain Shah said on Sunday.

"The talks were fruitful and positive results are expected soon," he told elders of Gwadar and Pasni during a visit to the areas.

He said it had been proposed that an alternative 132kv transmission line would be laid from Mand to Gwadar for meeting the future requirement of electricity in Makran. A 25 megawatt thermal power station and another alternative transmission line from Chabar in Iran to Gwadar was also proposed, he said.
