Blackmailing for cabinet posts alleged

By A Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Sept 5: Chairman of the Senate standing committee for interior and narcotics control Ayaz Khan Mandokhel on Sunday said inclusion of people wanted by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the federal cabinet would affect the credibility of the government at national and international level.

According to a press release issued here on Sunday, talking to media persons the senator alleged that some people got themselves inducted into the cabinet through blackmailing.

He said President Gen Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz wanted to make the country prosperous and the nation was with them in their efforts.

He alleged that men wanted by NAB had used blackmailing to get cabinet slots and succeeded. Mr Mandokhel said Pukhtoons from Balochistan were totally ignored in the new cabinet which, he added, would create a sense of depravation among them.
