Ammunition seized in Zhob

QUETTA, Sept 4: The Frontier Corps seized a large number of rockets, mortar shells and hand grenades in the Gomal area of Zhob district on Saturday.

"The consignment had been smuggled from across the border," an FC official said and added that the troops had raided the area on receiving a tip.

The ammunition was packed in boxes and dumped underground.

The troops seized 17 107mm rockets, 77 40mm rockets, 34 75mm shells, 55 82mm shells, 77 RPG-7 propellants and seven AGS-17 grenades. No arrest was made.
