ISLAMABAD, Sept 3: Chief Election Commissioner Irshad Hasan Khan on Friday announced the election schedule for Oct 7 by- election to NA-229 Tharparkar-I.
According to the schedule, the nomination papers may be filed with the returning officer from Sept 6 to 8 while the scrutiny of the same would be undertaken on Sept 9.
The last date for filling appeals against the decision of returning officer, rejecting or accepting, the nomination papers has been decided as Sept 9 while the last date for deciding appeals by the tribunal will be Sept 16.
The last date for withdrawal of candidate is Sept 20. The NA seat has fallen vacant after Shaukat Aziz retained the Attock seat.
