GUJRANWALA, Sept 3: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal central leader MNA Liaquat Baloch criticized the government on inducting of an army of ministers and termed it a burden on the national exchequer.
He was speaking at a Jamaat-i-Islami workers convention at Jamia Arabia on the GT Road here on Friday. He claimed that the government wanted to appease all its allies by offering them ministries and other benefits.
Mr Baloch said they (ministers) could not face the people as they were the part of a one-man government. He hinted that the MMA would launch a protest movement against the president if he fails to take off his uniform till December 31.
He said the MMA would observe Sept 11 as a protest day against the 'terrorism' against the Muslims all over the world. The MMA leader alleged that the government was acting at the behest of the US and launching crackdown on seminaries without any justification. He said the MMA would participate in local bodies election besides by-election to Punjab constituency PP-93.

Clashes took place between commuters and transporters on Friday on the Glotian-Sialkot Road and Naushera Virkan-Sheikhupura Road when crew of vehicles misbehaved with women over fares.
