Trade team to visit Belgium

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Sept 3: A 15-member trade delegation led by Pakistan-Belgium Business Forum (PBBF) President Mohammad A. Rajpar will visit Belgium on September 6-8.

Belgian Ambassador to Pakistan Patrick X. Renault and Trade Commissioner for the Walloon region Abid Husain will accompany the delegation.

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Privatization Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and State Bank Governor Dr Ishrat Husain have sent messages of goodwill and encouragement to the PBBS.

The purpose of the visit is to enhance the existing trade relations between Belgium and Pakistan by exploring new vistas of cooperation and making new contracts for business people on both the sides.

As the world emerges onto a new trade horizon (with WTO, advancing technologies and rapid geo-political developments) both Pakistan and Belgium are well poised to take advantage of the growth in global trade.

According to the schedule, the PBBF delegation will meet Walloon Export Agency (AWEX) individual companies, and Trade Mart (an agglomeration of the largest textile buying houses of Belgium).
