KHAIRPUR: Water rotation

KHAIRPUR, Sept 1: Irrigation authorities on Wednesday announced a revised rotation programme in ten minors of the irrigation east division on Wednesday.

The channels to be closed from Sept 3 to 10 include Juna minor, Machhi minor, Son Wah, Kalro minor, Sawari minor, Dhedhano minor, Halepoto minor, Ali Gang minor, Sangi minor and others.

ARRESTED: The Ahmedpur police on Wednesday arrested two growers, Ghulam Nabi Maitlo and Arz Mohammad Maitlo, for their alleged involvement in water theft. Meanwhile, a case was registered against Madad Ali Ratar, Gulab Kalhoro, Wazir Ali, Shah Mohammad, Passand Ali, Gulshan, Saleem, Basheer Dahri and Taj Mohammad for stealing water. In another incident, the Faiz Ganj police arrested Darogho Ali Khan Khaskheli on the complaint of assistant engineer of irrigation.

KILLED: A man, Irshad Tagar, was allegedly killed by his wife and three others in Ahmedpur on Wednesday. Ghulam Rasool Tagar registered a case against Shadan, Basheer Ahmed, Mureed Hussain and Irshad Ahmed with the Ahmedpur police for killing his brother. No arrest was made till the filing of this report.
