FIFA officials to arrive on Sept 20

By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Aug 30: A three-member FIFA delegation will visit Pakistan from Sept 20 to 27 to assess the infrastructure of soccer in the country. Headed by FIFA development officer Mohsin Gillani, the delegation will meet the managers, coaches and officials.

Meanwhile, PFF has cancelled its annual executive and general council meetings which were to be held on Aug 31. The decision has been taken to hold these meetings during the visit of FIFA delegation with an idea to give the local officials a chance to meet the FIFA officials.

However, pressing political engagements of the PFF president Faisal Saleh Hayat, and late PFF accounts audit has also forced federation to postpone the meetings. PFF has shifted Sept 10 to 19 U-20 national championship from Quetta to Peshawar since Balochistan Football Association regretted, saying it would be busy making arrangements for the National Games scheduled to be organized from Sept 30.
