KARACHI, Aug 30: The provincial governments of Sindh and Balochistan have decided to launch a joint operation against criminals along the border of both the provinces.

The decision was taken here on Monday in a meeting between Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and his counterpart from Balochistan Jam Mohammad Yousuf at the chief minister house in Karachi.

The two chief ministers decided that they would personally supervise the operation in border strip. First, the chief minister of Balochistan, accompanied by Sindh chief minister, would visit Jacobabad to inspect the area bordering his province.

Later, Sindh chief minister would go to Lasbella from where he would visit Balochistan areas. Jam Yousuf told Dr Rahim that Balochistan fully supported the viewpoint of Sindh on various important issues like Kalabagh dam, greater Thal canal and the National Finance Commission Award.
