The EU Presidency issued a declaration on Thursday that called upon the Bangladesh government to increase efforts to prevent such attacks.

A 10-member delegation of EU heads of mission in Dhaka, led by Dutch Ambassador Kees Beemsterboer, handed over the declaration adopted in Hague, to Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan on Thursday evening.

The EU presidency said it was alarmed at the increased number of bomb blasts in the recent months and at the escalation of political terrorism that had taken place with the attack."
