Demonstration against occupation of Iraq

By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, Aug 25: The Tehrik-i-Husainia Pakistan on Wednesday took out a procession against what it called illegal occupation of Iraq by the US forces. The participants demanded the US vacate the land of prophets or risk its interests coming under attack all over the world.

They also asked the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to play its role in ejecting out British-American forces from Iraq. The Bush-Blair duo has wreaked miseries on Muslims of the world and are doing so with complete impunity.

Allama Muhammad Hussain, addressing the gathering, said that the world was shocked into action when a statue of Buddha was bombed out by Taliban. But its silence is deafening when scores of people are being injured on daily basis in Iraq. All international bodies, including the OIC and the UNO, have become silent spectators of the gory drama unfolding in Iraq.
