KARACHI, Aug 24: The communication projects in Sindh came under review at a meeting of officials of the National Highways Authority, Sindh planning, development and finance departments on Tuesday

The meeting was presided over by Sindh Planning and Development Minister Syed Shoaib Bukhari. The meeting discussed the progress made on construction of Larkana-Khairpur road, Sehwan-Dadu-Larkana road, expansion of Karachi-Thatta-Hyderabad road, modification of Karachi-Hyderabad Superhighway, construction of Dadu, Jacobabad and Shikarpur bypasses, reconstruction of Babbarlo-Aubaro road, besides reconstruction of bridges in Thatta, Badin and Ghotki districts.

Mr Bukhari told the NHA officials that no progress could be made without provision of better communication facilities. He stressed the need for expeditious completion of all the ongoing schemes, and comprehensive planning for the ones to be undertaken, so that people of Sindh could benefit from the same. - APP
