HARIPUR, Aug 22: A three-day workshop on capacity building and training of the district government officers related to planning and budget preparation concluded here on Saturday.

The workshop was organized by the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), Haripur office, and was attended by the executive district officers and district officers of health, education, agriculture, community development, works and services, female education, social welfare, finance, water management and other departments.

During the workshop, the participants were taught modern techniques of development planning and budgeting in line with the Local Government Ordinance, 2001. NCHD planning and budge expert Shaukat Saeed imparted training to the participants on budget preparation, target fixing, goal achieving and monitoring process.
