KASUR, Aug 16: Former president of Pattoki bar association was killed while his sister-in-law and two relatives sustained injuries in a bus-car collision here on Monday at Kelo village.

Police said Abdul Jabbar advocate along with his family was coming from Pattoki to Kasur on his car (LXN-366). Near the village, a speeding Multan-bound bus (FS-7675) collided with the car, killing Jabbar on the spot.

His sister-in-law Samina Bibi, relatives Mohammad Javed and Abdul Ghaffar were referred to the Lahore General Hospital from the DHQ Hospital. At Gidpur village, Chunian, a speeding bus ran over and killed a woman, Sharifan Bibi, while crossing the road.

TWO DROWN: Two boys drowned here on Sunday in the pond of a public park. Police said Zahid Sarwar and his cousin Jamil (10), residents of Baghdadia Colony, were taking a bath at the pond and drowned.

RECOVERED: Two dead bodies were recovered on Monday in different incidents. Police said the body of an unidentified youth was found near Rajbah Mustafabad. The body of a minor child was found at Rajbah Watowan, Chunian.
