LARKANA, Aug 10: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, here on Tuesday announced the result of HSC Part-II annual examination 2004 (pre-medical and pre-engineering), in which girls outclassed boys in overall passing percentage.
In the pre-medical group, 8,318 candidates appeared, out of which, 6,807 got through while 283 copying cases were detected, the announcement said. Only seven students secured A-1 grade, 453 secured A grade, 1,767 were placed in B grade, and 3,354 got C grade. The passing percentage of boy candidates was 77.85 per cent while that of girls was 89.78 per cent with combined percentage at 81.84.
THE FIRST THREE POSITIONS ARE AS UNDER: Shafi Mohammed Kehar, seat no41210, of C & S Government Degree College, Shikarpur, secured first position with 866 marks; Rizwan Khan, seat no42885, of Government Degree College, Larkana, secured second position with 863 marks; while Aqeel Ahmed Kalhoro, seat no44194, of Government (MPL) Higher Secondary School, Larkana, got third position with 851 marks.
Akash Ambar Awan, seat no39739, of Wapda College, Guddu, and Asmat Gul Paichoho, seat no40022, of Gul Model Science College, Jacobabad, shared first position with 896 marks; Nida, daughter of Haroon Rasheed Khan, seat no46359, of Government Degree College, Nasirabad, stood second with 890 marks; while Tayyab Sultana Memon, seat no45577, of Government Girls College, Kambar, clinched third position with 878 marks.
In the pre-engineering group, 1,812 candidates out of 2,569 passed the examination. Only two students clinched A-1 grade while 60 were placed in A grade, 355 in B grade, 904 in C grade and 478 in D grade. The passing percentage of girl candidates was assessed at 79.16 per cent and that of boys at 70.28 per cent.
THE FIRST THREE POSITIONS ARE AS UNDER: Nadir Hussain Abro, seat no49738, of Government Pilot Higher Secondary School, Larkana, stood first with 956 marks; while Furqan Habib Bhutto, seat no50407, and Umar Farooq Gopang, seat no50412, of Shah Latif College, Kambar, obtained 911 marks and 869 marks, securing second and third position respectively.
Mehwish Panhyar, seat no48925, of Government Girls College, Shikarpur, obtained 808 marks to stand first; while Komar Bai, seat no50720, and Alia Shaikh, seat no50711, of Government Girls College, Shahdadkot, got 775 marks and 762 marks respectively to secured second and third positions.
The board reserved the right to rectify mistakes, errors and omissions in the provisional result at any time on basis of the original record, the controller of examinations said.
