Balochistan PA session begins today

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Aug 9: Heated debates are expected in the Balochistan Assembly session beginning from Tuesday as the opposition parties have decided to take on the government on issues like establishment of cantonments and the military operation in the province.

The alliance of four nationalist parties - Jamhoori Watan Party, Balochistan National Party, National Party and Haq Tawar - would move adjournment motions on the military operation, arrests of party workers and warrants of nationalist leaders in the opening session.

Leaders of the four-party alliance have already announced that they would protest with full force in the assembly to express their anger over the government's steps against the interest of the people.

The nationalist parties are strongly opposed to the setting up of cantonments in the Sui, Gwadar and Kohlu areas as they are of the view that it would be used to suppress the voice of the people.
