By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Aug 6: Security officials at Chaman have arrested an Afghan army officer who had intruded into Pakistan on Friday. "We have arrested an Afghan army officer who entered Pakistan without any legal documents," a spokesman for the Pishin Scouts said.

Sources said that the Afghan, who was identified as Major Munnawar, had entered Pakistan through the Friendship Gate at the border town of Chaman where security officials intercepted him. Some important documents were recovered from him, the sources said.
